Hickory Golf Association

2020 Mike Fatke Memorial Tournament

August 14, 2020 - August 16, 2020
Manistee Golf and Country Club - Manistee, Michigan

Mike Fatke, Manistee Golf and Country Club’s longtime course superintendent, took impeccable care of the course he loved. He could often be found, late in the day, playing the back nine with his hickories. This, our second annual Mike Fatke Hickory Memorial Matchplay Tournament, honors that memory.

Friday, Aug. 14., is set aside as a swap meet and Demo Day.

The format is 2-Person Best Ball Four ball (matchplay). Play will be flighted and with handicaps (modern club handicaps will be adjusted). Teams will play four 9-hole matches – two on Saturday and two on Sunday – plus an alternate shot shoot-out of flight winners on Sunday. Each match will be worth 10 points. One for each hole won and one for the match. The overall winner will be determined by the team accumulating the most points. In case of ties a chip-off will determine the winner. Included will be a social event Friday evening and casual dinner Saturday. Lunch will be served between rounds on Saturday. Box lunch and awards on Sunday.

Cost $150 per player (+$30 for social events guest), $300 per team. Register individually or as a team. Individual registrants will be teamed up.
